ANDREOTTI ENSEMBLE
The Andreotti Ensemble
is comprised of some of Sacramento's best jazz musicians and longtime
stalwarts of the Sacramento jazz scene for the past 20 years. Heading
up this ensemble is guitarist Tony Andreotti,
who has been an educator and performer since coming to Sacramento in
the early nineties. Tony performs in the wine country and North Bay
regions with different incarnations of his group. Saxophonist Darius Babazadeh
has been a top notch jazz musician and bandleader who's played with
Paul Anka, Gary Peacock, and Henry Robinett. Darius is the leader of the
Dbaba Project, which plays frequently in the area. Robert Lemas
is a veteran bassist and first-call musician in the Sacramento Area,
and has played with Joe Gilman, Vivien Lee, the Henry Robinett group,
and drum legend Mike Clark. Drummer Alex Jenkins is a
veteran performer and educator of jazz and world music in the Northern
California region. The group will be playing selections from jazz greats
such as: Miles Davis, Eddie Harris, Kenny Burrell, Pat Metheny, and more. With this lineup, the Andreotti Ensemble should be highly entertaining.
