Dr. Joe Gilman is a consummate pianist and one of the founding father of the Capital Jazz Project. For years, he has been the pianist for the world reknowned Bobby Hutcherson, and he has a number of CDs featuring a variety of artists. All the releases have received critical acclaim. He is a full-time professor of music at American River College in Sacramento, an adjunct professor of jazz studies at Sac. State, and a longtime associate of the Brubeck Institute and the Stanford Jazz Workshop. He has graced the stage @ Sunset Jazz over the years with a terrific array of music; you will not be disappointed.

VIVIAN LEE – Jazz vocalist and recording artist Vivian Lee specializes in the standards – Gershwin, Ellington, Jobim, with some Brubeck, Hubbard, Monk and Gillespie thrown in. Ms Lee has three times (2005, 2006, 2007) been voted one of Sacramento’s top jazz groups, and top entertainer by subscribers in Sacramento Magazine’s annual “Best of Sacramento" issue. She is also the 2009 Sacramento Magazine Editors pick as Best Jazz Diva.
