Welcome to our 12th season of Sunset Jazz  

It's that time of year again folks, and that could only mean the 12th season of "The Best Jazz in Town."  We're proud to present  another all-star lineup (below).  We're looking forward to seeing all of you again, as will our dogs Sebastian & Sookie, who eagerly await your pets!  Thanks as always for your loyal support; you've made us the successful venue we have become!

Let the good times roll! That could mean that Sister Swing is about to grace our beautiful backyard stage with another joyful performance!
This wonderful group is opening our 12th season of "the best jazz in town," and you won't want to miss them. Their tribute to the music of the Swing Era, and the joy and passion they feel for the music shines through —
a yearly favorite @ Sunset  Jazz, so mark your calendars now. For this popular band, I would suggest reservations @ 407 8904.

Welcome to our 11th season of Sunset Jazz.  
We are delighted to kick things off with the well known and respected Joe Gilman heading up a trio featuring Steve Homan on guitar and Buca Necak on the bass. 
Dr. Joe Gilman is a consummate pianist and one of the founding father of the Capital Jazz Project. For years, he has been the pianist for the world reknowned Bobby Hutcherson, and he has a number of CDs featuring a variety of artists. All the releases have received critical acclaim. He is a full-time professor of music at American River College in Sacramento, an adjunct professor of jazz studies at Sac. State, and a longtime associate of the Brubeck Institute and the Stanford Jazz Workshop. He has graced the stage @ Sunset Jazz over the years with a terrific array of music; you will not be disappointed.
Joe has a large following, and we encourage you to make your reservations early @ (916) 407 8904.


We're still in the beautiful backyard setting @ 6138 Woodhaven Ave. in Carmichael. Concert is from 7PM to 9PM. Admission is $10 per person, and you may enjoy wine and snacks for a relaxing evening of the best jazz in town!

Thanks much for your support over the years. We look forward to seeing you on Thursday, June 4th. The remainder of the groups filling out the season will follow in the near future.

Brady McKay – Back by popular demand, singing jazz standards.
